Chambers USA Recognizes Tydings Lawyers

Tydings is pleased to announce that Chambers and Partners has again ranked the firm and three of its partners, Alan M. Grochal, Richard L. Costella, and Joseph M. Selba, for their work in bankruptcy and restructuring in its 2022 edition of Chambers USA.

Bankruptcy/Restructuring

This is the tenth consecutive year Chambers has ranked the firm’s bankruptcy/restructuring practice.  Its editors comment that Tydings “lawyers are very responsive and experienced practitioners.  The team is able to cut through contracts to the most relevant provisions in a timely manner."

According to Chambers, “Alan Grochal undertakes complex Chapter 11 cases and out-of-court restructurings on behalf of debtors and creditors. He heads the firm’s bankruptcy/creditors’ rights department. One source was quoted as saying, "his experience and handling of the matter made it go smoothly despite challenges."

Of Richard Costella, Chambers states that he assists clients with a variety of bankruptcy and restructuring mandates, including Chapter 11 and Chapter 12 proceedings. He is adept at acting for financial institutions and debtors, and sources cite him as "very responsive."

This is the first year that Chambers has recognized Mr. Selba as an up-and-coming practitioner who handles a range of matters, including Chapter 11 proceedings.  One source was quoted as saying, "Joe is a great partner to work with. He responds timely with practical, efficient guidance."

Diane V. D’Aiutolo, the firm’s managing partner, believes this recognition reflects the firm’s longstanding reputation and its attorneys’ experience.  She said, “Tydings lawyers must be trusted counsel and skilled advocates.  We are appreciative of the recognition bestowed on the skill of our partners and the bankruptcy department as a whole.”
